Lentil and Chicken Soup

ingredients

  • ½ Onion
  • ½ Boneless Chicken Breast
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 cup Green Lentils
  • 2 Celery Stalks
  • 2 Carrots
  • 2 Tsps Thyme
  • 1 ½ cups Water
  • 1 Litre Chicken Broth
  • 1 cube Chicken Bouillon
  • 1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste

cooking directions

  • Boil the chicken breast until it is cooked through.
  • Rinse the lentils.
  • Dice the onion, celery, carrots and garlic and shred the now boiled chicken breast.
  • Mix all ingredients together in a soup pot and place over heat.
  • Bring it to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and cover. Let it simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
  • Enjoy
