Bolognese Sauce
Ingredients
- 796ml San Marzano tomatoes
- 400g Minced pork and beef
- 50g Butter
- 1 Diced carrot
- 1 Diced celery stalk
- 1 Minced onion
- 1 tsp Chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp Spaghetti sauce seasoning
- 2 Bay leaves
- ½ tsp Oregano
- ½ tsp Pepper
- 1 cup Red wine
- 1 cup Milk
Cooking directions
- In a saucepan, heat butter. Sauté onion until translucent. Add garlic, carrot and celery, cook for 5 minutes.
- Add minced meat, spaghetti spices, oregano and pepper. Brown meat until it is no longer pink.
- Add red wine, once it evaporates add milk and mix for a few minutes.
- Remove livers and set aside.
- Add tomatoes and bay leaves. Simmer on medium-low heat for 45 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Season to taste and remove the bay leaves. Serve on pasta and top with parmesan cheese.
